Sharon Smith has been practicing law in Oregon since 1986. She has been with Bryant, Lovlien & Jarvis since 1991 and has been a shareholder since 1995. She is also a member of the National School Boards Association, past president of the Lane County Women Lawyers Association and past vice president of Oregon Women Lawyers.Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 1983 and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Oregon in 1986. She graduated from law school with honors (Order of the Coif). She currently serves as a City of Bend Municipal Court Judge, pro-tem, a position she has held since 1994. She joined the board of directors at DCF because she believes in the mission and model of Deschutes children's foundation. The model of consolidating services to children and families in a campus setting provides both cost efficiencies and enhanced provision of services. “I think it is important for every member of our community to do their part to make the community a better place to live.”
