Hodge Kerr has been a member of Deschutes Children’s Foundation Board of Directors for the past six months. “I think it is a great opportunity to do something to benefit our community. DCF reaches out to so many people in need and is a wonderful organization.” Hodge has worked for Kirby Nagelhout Construction for the past three years as a Project Manager.
Hodge’s family moved to Bend in 1978. His father, Donald M. Kerr was the founder and president of the High Desert Museum. He grew up watching his father’s dream come true and the museum grow. He started his career in construction with S.M. Andersen Construction and was fortunate enough to work on several projects at the museum, such as the Hall of Plateau Indians Building and the Don Kerr Birds of Prey Building. He managed projects in Portland for five years. He then left S.M. Andersen and managed construction projects at Intel in Hillsboro for five years. He was finally able to move back to his home town with his wife, Debora, and their three boys.“It truly is wonderful living and working in the town that I love.”
