Expected Outcomes for Children & Families
Big Brothers Big Sisters will serve 50 more youth, who will be less likely to use drugs or start drinking than kids not involved with this mentoring program.
Cascade Youth & Family will add 12 beds to their transitional housing program at another site by relocating counseling and administration to the new campus, providing 60-100 more homeless youth with 6,200 days of long-term housing.
Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education will have a stable home for serving more than 500 children with developmental delays.
The KIDS Center will nearly double medical evaluations from 220 to 400, provide 65 more children with therapy, expand one-on-one and group therapy sessions, and reduce waiting times for examinations.
Mountain Star Family Relief Nursery will increase its therapeutic pre-school enrollment from 30 to 45 and in three years will provide outreach to 300 families.
OSU-Cascades Early Childhood Development & Education Program will create high-quality preschool slots for 15 full-time or 30 part-time children and provide a learning environment for OSU-Cascades students and area childcare providers.
Ready*Set*Go will continue to serve 625 families and an additional 115 families through educational parenting groups.
Together for Children will provide training in good parenting practices to 73 additional families.
Youth Choir of Central Oregon will serve 150 students in an after-school music program and provide more scholarships for low-income students.
