Deschutes Children's Foundation East Bend Campus
Eight additional programs are slated to join MountainStar Family Relief Nursery at Deschutes Children's Foundation East Bend Campus upon completion of construction. The Better Together Capital Campaign is a $3.9 million dollar fundraising initiative led by Deschutes Children’s Foundation to build a new 13,000 square foot building at this east side location. This project will address the rising needs of our community, equipping programs to serve 3,000 additional children and families each year at this new collaborative campus. This program provides comprehensive services to prevent child abuse and neglect in at-risk families with children ages 6 weeks to 4 years. Therapeutic classroom provides a safe and nurturing environment where children receive USDA meals, interaction with highly qualified trained staff and volunteers, and activities that are focused on meeting their developmental needs. Families receive support and peer counseling, transportation services, resources for food, clothing, and referrals to other agencies.
