Remodel of the Sanctuary is Complete
When you walk in to the Rosie Bareis Community Campus at 1010 NW 14th St, you will notice many changes. Two months ago, this place looked much different. It began when Jan Eggleston, Executive Director of Deschutes Children’s Foundation, decided it was time to remodel the out-dated Sanctuary Meeting Room. The Safeway Foundation helped fund this project with a $5000 grant. Originally, the plan was to make two changes: add doors leading to the meeting area for privacy and a ramp for handicap accessibility. However, DCF’s Board of Directors decided it was time to re-carpet all public areas of the building as well. In addition to the new carpet, doors and ramp, other cosmetic changes have been made to the building. New paint on all of the walls, new blinds, and two surrounds for the chairs have been added to the update. What’s next? Currently, we are working on updating the restrooms with new sinks, paint, and other small changes. To learn more about the Sanctuary Community Meeting Room, click here.
