Thanks to everyone who attended the Bend Chamber’s Young Professionals Network event on February 17, 2010. Deschutes Children’s Foundation hosted 50 young professionals at its East Bend Campus, which included networking, presentations, beverages and appetizers. Thank you to Deschutes Brewery and Olive Garden for their beer and food donation.
The theme for the evening’s event was “Board Involvement” and DCF board member Hodge Kerr shared his experiences on being a new board member with DCF and ideas on how to get involved on a board and within your community. Bottom line: Be sure to have a passion for the mission of the organization you wish to be involved with.
