East Bend Community Campus

Located on Bend’s East Side, The East Bend Campus is home to 8 non-profit programs supporting Deschutes County children and families. The East Bend Campus is Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s newest campus, completed in 2009 after successfully completing at $4.1 million capital campaign. The East Bend Campus is the most heavily used community campus with over 10,000 clients served in 2010.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon

The program empowers youth ages 6-15 to achieve their highest potential through meaningful one-to-one relationships with caring memebers. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon recruits, screens and trains volunteers to be matched with children throughout Central Oregon.

Healthy Families of the High Desert

Healthy Families of the High Desert provides home visits to all newborns in Deschutes County. This program provides education and information on parenting, well-child growth and development and community resources.

Together For Children is a parent participation program for all families with children from birth through age three. Trained educators facilitate each group offering interactive play, children's activity time, parent education and family networking. Home visits are also available.

Head Start

NeighborImpact’s Head Start Program is dedicated to helping ensure that children ages 3 and 4 from low-income families are ready for school. Head Start builds success for children through child focused, family-centered services that enhance social competence, school readiness and overall health and well-being.

The Youth Choir provides an opportunity for musical expression and personal development for local children in a supportive and joyful environment. This nonprofit organization has provided positive extra-curricular enrichment for over 20 years, supplementing music classes offered in area schools.

Family Access Network

Family Access Network (FAN) Advocates link children and families to critical social supports with the goal of keeping children in school. Working with one dedicated advocate, a child or parent is referred for dental work, job opportunities, clothing, rent assistance, childcare support, health insurance or whatever the need. Central to FAN's approach is empowering families to take action to help themselves.

This program provides comprehensive services to prevent child abuse and neglect in at-risk families with children ages 6 weeks to 4 years. Therapeutic classroom provides a safe and nurturing environment where children receive USDA meals, interaction with highly qualified trained staff and volunteers, and activities that are focused on meeting their developmental needs.
