Thanks to everyone who attended the Bend Chamber’s Young Professionals Network event on February 17, 2010. Deschutes Children’s Foundation hosted 50 young professionals at its East Bend Campus, which included networking, presentations, beverages and appetizers. The mission of Deschutes Children's Foundation is to promote a community of services for the children and families of Deschutes County. Our primary strategy for pursuing this mission is to provide rent-free facilities and no-cost property management for human service programs that serve children and families directly. This puts critical dollars to work for children and families. Close collaboration between programs selected for campus residency fosters efficient, effective, and accessible services. Deschutes Children’s Foundation manages four collaborative campuses located in Bend, La Pine and Redmond. Currently these campuses are home to 31 human service programs that last year served more than 45,000 children and families in need of support. Deschutes Children's Foundation also offers Community Meeting Rooms to nonprofits and other organizations that serve children and families.
