How We Help
Since 1990, Deschutes Children’s Foundation has supported exceptional services for children and families in Central Oregon.
DCF provides rent-free space to other nonprofits that serve children and families. In addition to maintaining and updating existing facilities, in 2008 DCF completed construction of an addition to the KIDS Center at the Rosie Bareis Community Campus and a new 13,000 square foot building at the East Bend Campus.
As part of a collaborative effort, Deschutes Children’s Foundation has participated in bringing continuing education for nonprofit leadership to Bend.
Over 2,300 scholarships for after-school activities have been provided through the Every Kid Fund since April of 2000. Grants totaling over $200,000 have been disbursed.
More than $1.5 million in Sagebrush Classic proceeds have been distributed through Deschutes Children’s Foundation to local nonprofit organizations that serve children and families.
