Genevieve Bouche - Facility Manager

Genevieve Bouche Genevieve moved back to Oregon in 2008 to be with her grandchildren. She joined Deschutes Children’s Foundation as East Bend Campus Facility Manager in 2010.

Prior to moving back to Oregon she worked for the State of Florida Health Department Environmental Services as a Biomedical Waste Inspector. Genevieve believes in giving back to the community where ever she lives; while in Florida she volunteered for several local nonprofits, as well the State of Florida’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Team (especially during hurricane season).  Before moving out of Oregon she worked for 7 years as a Hazardous Material Specialist for Region 13 HazMat Emergency Response Team whose job is to protect life and the environment from dangerous goods that includes chemical, biological or radiological emergencies.

When Genevieve was a 40 year old single mom she attended Linfield College and received two B.S. degrees, one in Chemistry and one in Biology and her Masters from Oregon State in Environmental Engineering.  She is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys backpacking, kayaking, cross-country skiing as well as yoga and meditation. Genevieve still feels strongly about giving back to her community and does so by volunteering locally to a number of non-profits including Saving Grace, Kids Center, Grandma’s House and the Bend Community Center.
